Hi everyone
Apologies for the lack of communication from my side - I promise to update more regularly! I have been following the Knit-a-squillion campaign and am so impressed by everyone's efforts - keep up the great work! I have also been recruiting furiosly amongst colleagues, family and friends and will tell you all about that soon. Just wanted to let you all know that the 10 000 knitted squares from the Netherlands arrived safely with us yesterday and we will make sure that they are sewn into blankets very soon.

by-passing governments and politicians and just getting on with it!
That's wonderful ! With the cold weather it is great to know children will be warm.
Yes Pam, ordinary people tend to get things done while governments and politicians discuss and discuss and discuss.....
As Gandhi said:
"You must be the change you wish to see in the world."
Permalink Reply by Pam Antink on August 5, 2011 at 4:41am Hi there. I will certainly have a look at the follow up story. We did receive a fabulous response, especially beanies (hats), but we could always do with more, knitted squares being our biggest need as you know. I will follow up with Sandy and Kalai who are "on the ground" so to speak.
Hi Vicki, The latest campaign is called Knit-a-Squillion.....so definitely, squares are still needed. The aim is to have over a million squares by this time next year !
