2011 TALLY - Re-opened for Garments, hats, cuddles etc

hello all my lovely KAS friends, we had another late start again this year but its time to get this tally rolling (I imagine that some of you have been patiently waiting, wondering, 'where is that tally?" for a while.

 

by now, many of you know the drill - when its time for you to add your items, take a look at the most recent reply and add your items to that total, then post the new total in your comment. if you need help, then tell us what you made and how many, and somebody will add them in for you.

 

we also have a tally over in ravelry going as well, and if you are also a ravelry KAS member then please do not add your items to both tallies as it will throw off our results.

 

now lets get this going.

 

last years numbers (slightly over twice as many squares as the year before, well done everyone!)

 

15,149 squares  (about 631 blankets, on average)

mailed today, 1 cuddle, 3 slipovers, 9 hats, 2 pairs of socks and 11 sewing needles  for a new total of

 

totals now:

On Friday took 4 more blankets to Jigsaw in Edinburgh 4x5 squares plus 9 crocheted squares by Helen waldron (the square count seems to have gone from this list?) I'd hoped to do 10 blankets by christmas but only managed 9 in the end

Don worry Mary, the square count is on Knit a Squillion discussion page as that runs until end of June 2012 so you can still them.  9 Blankets is amazing - 9 warm children for several years to come!

Have tried to add my contributions in via tally form but alas unsuccessfully! I sent my very first package in just a few days ago:

thanks Pam.. I'm using up stash in making hats! tomorrow may venture out for more wool Sadly yarn not sold by tescos
