Size 8x8 inches
Gauge (stockinette): 5 stitches = 1 inch, 6 rows = 1 inch
Worsted weight yarn in blue, green red
Size 6 (4mm) needles
Cast on 32 stitches with blue yarn .
Begin chart. Work first 2 rows (solid blue) in garter stitch
Rows 3 to 45 work in stockinette, following the chart.
Rows 47 and 48: Garter stitch in blue
Pick up stitches along side edges of square and work about 6 rows of garter stitch along each side until square is 8 inches wide.
