My name is Alison Lett and I have 4 daughters the eldest is 20 and the youngest just 4. I live in a tiny hamlet overlooking Cessford Castle in the Scottish Borders.
While being snowed in over Xmas and New Year I came acrosss the KAS website and have not stopped knitting since. I used to start knitting projects and soon get bored with them, but knitting for KAS is different. When i start on a new project i just don't want to stop!
Beware as you are going to hear alot from me. I am really passionate about KAS it is a wonderful charity which you do not need to be mega rich to get involved with. Our family is on very limited means but i am determined to do whatever i can to make a differance even if it may just be in a small way.
I have just started a KAS Knitting circle once a week in our nearest town. We may only have 4 members at the moment including myself but i have great hopes for the group. One member has already whiped up 3 hats and a square and the local paper placed a free ad for me this week so fingers crossed we shall be soon on our way.
