Square Circle Forum

Happy August, everyone!

This is the one month in the year when I can take some time to breathe and relax - and do LOADS of knitting and crocheting!

It also means I am able to host a theme and spend a bit more time on the forum.

The KAS pattern book has a good selection of knitted and crocheted squares with different patterns and textures, for a starter. The wider Internet is alive with a rich variety of choices, if, like me you have a little more time this month and want to try some thing new.

So this is the month to rake through your stash and find all those weird bits and bobs of eyelash, fuzzy and pom-pom yarns that you never know what to do with!

Of course, this will then create space to buy some lovely new yarns...

Hopefully, that's whetted your appetite and got your creative juices flowing!

Let's see how many people are brave enough to try out at least ONE new stitch or technique this month.

As you upload your photos onto the main site, I will add them to our photo album for the month, which you can view here:

Happy creating!

You have opened a treasure box, Amy? These are wonderful squares.

Wow Amy!!!! These are all so very pretty.  :)) LOVE, love, love, the word squares....words that are so comforting and important for the children......and hearts -one of my most fave things. (especially pink ones....lol.)

Your patterned squares are very striking, too, especially the texture in the wave stitch.

These are so great. They were just waiting for their perfect theme.

I love the word squares!!

I had a go at the waffle stitch square from the link that Sharon posted earlier in this discussion. My first two attempts (blue) went wrong but, third time lucky! Once I got the hang of it, it was easy so I made a pink one as well to keep Bev AND Gloria happy!

Ooooh, Heather, these are gorgeous.  And yes! Gloria is happy. That blue square is divine!  I even like the pink one, but please don't tell Bev I said that ... hahaha ... xo

Two beauties Heather, gorgeous colours :))

Fantastic colors terrific texture!!

WOO HOO!! Love the texture in this pattern....the pink one is scrum-diddly-umptious.........and the blue one is pretty, too.  :))

2 pairs handwarmers with soft fluffly tops.  Fluffy yarn courtesy of Louise Tidman.  it is a nightmare to knit with, thanks Louise. :))))
