Square Circle Forum

Happy August, everyone!

This is the one month in the year when I can take some time to breathe and relax - and do LOADS of knitting and crocheting!

It also means I am able to host a theme and spend a bit more time on the forum.

The KAS pattern book has a good selection of knitted and crocheted squares with different patterns and textures, for a starter. The wider Internet is alive with a rich variety of choices, if, like me you have a little more time this month and want to try some thing new.

So this is the month to rake through your stash and find all those weird bits and bobs of eyelash, fuzzy and pom-pom yarns that you never know what to do with!

Of course, this will then create space to buy some lovely new yarns...

Hopefully, that's whetted your appetite and got your creative juices flowing!

Let's see how many people are brave enough to try out at least ONE new stitch or technique this month.

As you upload your photos onto the main site, I will add them to our photo album for the month, which you can view here:

Happy creating!

Wow!!! A SUPER-snazzy blanket, Sharon. LOVE the colours and the C2C.  :))

I am attempting to do a whole blanket with some fuzzy yarn, but it is taking a while....and babysitting furbabies, who unlike my own furbaby, think that sitting on my knee or my knitting (or both) is the best idea.  :((  Oh well, still have 19 days left in August.....lol.

This is so gorgeous Sharon.

A colourful, fuzzy beauty Sharon! The orange seems to 'pop out'; a child will love this textured delight :))

A stunning blanket Sharon...I love all the colours.   I'm not brave enough to attempt a whole blanket in fuzzy yarn, squares are my limit.   :))

Amazing work, Sharon!!  Do you trust me with the fuzzy yarn? in any color? I'll take light blue - kidding -

Words fail me, Sharon!!!

What a wonderful welcome back from my holiday! This is really stunning - the children will be fighting over this beauty!

4 pairs handwarmers, one with eyelash yarn around the top.

My fave of this pretty collection is the one with the 'fun fur', Joan.....knitted in my fave colours and then the 'fluffy stuff', just adds a bit of glam.......pretty, pretty, pretty!!!!!

Loving your eyelash cuffs Joan.......another 4 gorgeous pairs of hand warmers, thank you xx

More of 'Joan's Jewels'! Lovely!

2 diagonal squares featuring stripes of eyelash yarn on ine and fluffy yarn in the other.

Fluffy perfection. Love it.
