A bumpy start to the new year but the pictures have arrived now - dozens of them.

That’s a good question Rebecca. 

When completed blankets arrive we put the senders name on them. 

When we bring in blankets that we or our teams have joined we put our names on them. 

When Athelé or I post them on Facebook we always try to put the contributors name on them. 

It’s not always easy as unless we open the parcels ourselves we don’t know who sent the squares. 

At the end of the day we are often given some squares by some of the volunteers which have not been bundled together and don’t know who sent them. 

There are volunteers who sew the blankets together who just come and collect squares and have no idea where they come from. 

Amy your blue blanket is stunning! 

I think Janet Coleman is the person who either provided the squares or provided the squares AND sewed them into a blanket before sending. I did a member search and she is from the UK, so perhaps you both just have the same good taste, Rebecca.  :))

The yarn I was thinking of is a lovely yarn and I would not be surprised if a lot of UK knitters spotted and worked in it!!

Beautiful blankets......LOVE the pinks and purples, the vibrant pops of colours and all the stripes and diagonals.  :))

I agreed with you Bev, those stripes and diagonals look fabulous in the blankets.

A riot of colour. I noticed that they've all been beautifully edged.

Lovely! I really like the stripey ones, and especially the last one, so eye-catching, love the colours.

Postal costs for incoming parcels has risen alarmingly since mid-April
because of a new rule that ALL overseas parcels attract the customary
handling fee and that has been increased to R51.50 PER PARCEL[$3.74USD].
