Like Bev, I just can't pick a favorite among these last batches of blankets. I love the stripes, solids, diagonals, grannies.... well, pretty much everything. But this time, I am really interested in the texture squares in #114 and 122. I'm guessing they are knitted with a purl row maybe every 6th row??? They sure look good in the blankets, and will be an interesting texture for children to play with.
I had assumed that 114 was crocheted but you could be right. You would make 122 as you say - either an extra knit row on wrong side or purl on right side (whichever you prefer doing) would achieve that effect. It still amazes me that some of the simplest techniques produce such interesting results.
Sorting through all the photos and posting them in their different discussions sounds like a LOT of work, Christine....THANK YOU so much.......please take your time....we will, and are more than happy to wait. :))
