The blankets are true works of art. What a great job.

Yes Mary, they do a wonderful job in South Africa, of bringing all the different squares together to make colourful, unique blankets for the children, don't they?  :))

Sometimes there are visible labels on top of the blankets, and I'm assuming that in this case not only the labelled blanket but those following were joined by the same person, i.e. Estelle and Athele. Estelle will be able to tell us if this is incorrect:

So colorful.  Thanks for posting Christine.

Thank you, Christine, for another great batch of beautiful blankets :)

There is so much to see and read on our forum that it's hard to take it all in.  I keep flipping through a little bit at a time, and when I finish, I just start all over again :)  Each time I start over, there's more information, more beauty, and more inspiration!  What a great place this is :)) xo

Thank you Christine for these.
We are trying to identify the blankets when we take the photographs. We normally put our names on the blankets when bring them in. I usually bring about 6 to 8 a week so I'm sure it's easy for the photographs to get mixed up. The next person will add her blankets to the pile with her name but sometimes completed blankets that arrive in the post are added with no name.

Anyway Christine I think you are doing a stirling job as there are so many blankets coming in from the Gogos as well. We just love seeing the completed blankets.

Athele joined the one with her name on it and the brown and yellowish one.
I'm sure you will all recognize Anne Connors striped squares in the brown one.
I'm not sure who joined the diagonal one and the last one.

I joined the one with my name on it. The following four were sewn up by my team.
Another great collection... thank you Estelle and Athele for joining them. The third photo up from the bottom are my squares, made last year :))
Super squares Sharon. It's made such a lovely blanket.
Thanks Estelle, I love making diagonals , they are made from all the bits of yarn I am given from family and friends :))
