                I used 5.00mm hook and worsted weight yarn.

                Using hdc, keep adding rounds until the square is 8".

Your square seems to have more rounds than called for on the pattern; are the extra rounds just continuations of the original pattern?
Yes Rachel. As usual I changed the pattern a bit :-)  I used a smaller hook and worsted weight yarn.  I'm going to try this again with chunky and see how it turns out.  Though I think it will be too thick in the middle.
Well, I like it better the way you did it, so that's why I'm asking.  When I try it, I want mine to come out like yours =)!  I'll let you know if I need help...

This is beautiful and I love the center.  I clicked on the picture so it came up huge and I had a really good look at it. I've got some blue and some green yarn the same as the white you used...now to find something to match them up with.  Thanks for this link!
