Found the most amazing place to buy the above yarn this weekend.  Ocean State Job Lot.  They have stores around the Northeast only I am afraid which includes Rhode Island.  They carry all of the colors in 7 ounce skeins for $3.00 each.  They also carry the variegated colors in 6 ounce skeins for the same price.

They also sell the Lion Brand 100% Wool in 19 colors for $3.00.  If you have one in your area, it is worth the trip.  They told me that this price was what they usually sold it for and it was not just a special this week.

www.oceanstatejoblot.com to check for store locations and hours.

I hear that Ollie's Bargain Outlet store have the 7 oz. Vanna's Choice yarn for $2.99 a skein. I haven't been there yet as a hour away but it is listed on their web site.
I have not heard of them. This bargain store is about 45 minutes away. Will check out Ollie's web site. Thanks for the info. I bought 25 skeins the other day to make the trip worth my while.
Ollie's Bargain stores are mostly in the NE part of the US incl some stores is OH. They are all over PA. and I know of several in OH. Lima and Chillothe,OH have them and they have knitting and crochet books really reasonable but you never know if they will have many and I have lots so may not be new books for me. They haven't had any new yarns for awhile so great they are getting some.
I looked the Ollie's locations up and they have stores in Pa., MD.,DEL., VA., OH.,WV.,NJ.,KY., NY., and NC.
Thank you for the info. Will have to look into this. Hope you had a nice day.
I think it's great to share yarn bargains wherever you find them. I'd have to mail order to get Vanna's Choice here, and I usually cringe at shipping costs, lol. Yeah I know, yarn wuss! Anyways while finding yarn bargains encourages our yarnaholics it's all for a good cause. At least that's what I say when I eat a piece of somebody else's birthday cake--it's all for a good cause! ;)
Too true. I tell myself that I can knit more sweaters and hats for my grandson, Cadyn and an afghan. I have too many projects in the works right now, actually enough to fill their own little house. But this yarn will make some very soft and warm go overs also and hats.
