Square Circle Forum

Hi All,

Amongst all this talk of raising awareness and funds for KAS a few of us have been bouncing around an idea which could do both. Its really important we keep a cash flow going for KAS, so we can support all the brilliant operations that go on to bring your wonderful stitching to the children who need it most! We really wanted to find out what our lovely members think about it.

We are thinking of getting some car window stickers made up (like the ones you see from many charities or car dealerships) with the KAS logo on. These would be high quality stickers to be applied to the interior of your car window. They would be roughly the size of a quarter A4 page. Sandy is looking to get them printed up at a discount rate and then I was going to distribute them to the people who wished to purchase them. We would like to have any profits from this go to KAS obviously. The price of these could be anywhere from £1 - £3 (+ postage) depending on what the printing cost is.

This could be a brilliant way to both promote and raise some much needed cash for KAS. Hehe ‘Cash for KAS’ I’m sure we would do something with that too!

Please could you all comment below on what you think of this idea. If you would be willing to buy one. What cost you would expect if you were to buy one.

Thanks all

Kerry

Put me down for 3, both side windows to cover the pavement walkers plus the rear for those stuck in the traffic jam behind me!
Kerry, this is a good idea.  Another charity I participate in did this last year, and raised a nice sum of money to defray their postage costs.  The cost was $US2 for each bumper sticker, and I was pleasantly surprised at the high quality.  A thought: you could ask for self-addressed, stamped envelopes with each order so that you can ship the goods without impacting your profits.
Great idea - I guess about £2 would do - plus postage?

Thank you for the replies ladies =) Great to have an idea about cost.

I would think that most people would pay for them through paypal and so wouldn't want to then on top of that send a SAE, but I certainly will keep that idea in mind incase some people might like to pay in postal orders.

Kerry, I would be happy to support this by buying one or two.

I sell magnets online for my animal rescues.  I use a magnet supplier.

Maybe they could make a magnet.  They do custom for $1.99 a piece when you purchase 100.

I sell them for $5 plus $2 S&H

I like the magnet idea. We have different magnets on our vehicles and they don't harm the finish of the car. I like that better than bumper stickers
I probably would buy one at least, but what is the equivalent US $ amount of £1 - £3 (+ postage)?  Thanks,

Laurie, at the rate of current exchange;

£1=$1.61

£3=$4.82

I am fine with either bumper stickers or magnets for the car.  I must say those plastic "window clings" that you just peel and they stick to the inside of the car window by static might be easier, particularly to remove, than a bumper sticker that's faded out.  I find bumper stickers fade out pretty fast in our strong sunlight here.  Still I'd be happy to buy a couple and then stick a new one over the old faded one, lol. :) I think a couple of dollars each is a great price!  I have a magnet sticker or two on our car so those work well too.  Whatever is the best price at the moment and we can always branch out later eh?
Great ideas, ladies! I'd buy 2 or 3 or more and give them as little gifts. I like the window cling idea or the magnet (although I've lost several of these to vandals or bumpy roads, not sure which!). I'd pay $2-3USD each.
I'd go for magnets. Would they go on fridges too? I thought of birthday presents for my friends as we do token gifts to each other A few dollars worth.
