Square Circle Forum

We appreciate that December is a busy month as we all get prepared for our Christmas and holiday celebrations. This months theme is designed to help you relax ad just wind down a little. Before the start of 2018 new and exciting themes.

Can you believe that 2017 is nearly over ?

Here at KAS we have had yet another super busy year, helping to keep thousands of children warm.

It has been a wonderful year with fabulous themes hosted by our moderators and members, with so many fantastic makes from all our crafters.Squares, toys, handwarmer and hats in their hundreds. There has been so much creativity in the colours, patterns and designs. Our crafters never cease to surprise us with the next idea they pull out of the hat. So that leads us to our monthly theme.

We must all have those little balls of scrap yarn, that been left over from our previous monthly theme or home projects ?

So, lets dig into the bottom of all those project bags and storage boxes and pull out all those odds and ends and get them used up. ( You never know what Santa might bring you !)

Whether it be a multi-coloured square, cuddly toy, jazzy handwarmer, stripy hat, lets use up all those odds and ends.

Most importantly lets have some fun !!!

Deborah, your little people and animals (and birds!) never cease to amaze me!  They are sure bring a lot pleasure to the children who receive them.  I love your red bird :)))  ... xo

Another great bunch of unique toys for the children.  I love your use of odds and ends, well done Deborah.  :))

Here are my little bits and bobs, odds and ends balls that I have been collecting up in a vase on my dresser.  I thought it made an interesting decoration..........

I have already started to use them up this month - and plan to try to get rid of almost all of them over the next 23 days!!

Oh Rebecca, what a lovely pile of color :))  I can just imagine the beautiful treasures you will create with these little odds and ends.

I love your idea of putting them in a vase as a decoration!  I think I'll hunt for a large clear vase to display my odds and ends.  It will serve two purposes ...

1.  Create a lovely colorful display.

2.  Keep colors clearly visible and perhaps get used more often :))

Thanks for the idea ... xo

Balls in a vase. What a good idea for Christmas.  I usually put coloured Christmas balls in one....yarn would be just as pretty.  Now do I have any balls of yarn......

If you haven't got any, Linda, just let me know and I'll send you some ... hahaha  xo

Jude and Jean have been busy for several weeks cutting out felt hands and sewing the names of our KAS supporters onto them....then sewing the hands onto squares.  Here are a few of the hands.  I think Jude will be showing the finished blankets to everyone at her birthday bash on 20th December.

Ladies, I've been absent from the forum for a while so thought I'd better start catching up with uploading photos.  I'll try not to bombard you too much!  lol  xx

Louise, that´s a great idea! I am looking forward seeing all the hands!

Lovely hands.  What a great idea.

What a super idea, Jude!  And I see some names I recognise ...

Thanks for the photos, Louise :) xo
