Hi all!
I came across a piece for Dresses for Africa this morning. It's a non-profit organization that asks people to make dresses from pillow cases for little girls in poor African villages. I'm not a sewer (unfortunately) but thought I could pass this on to someone who is, in case they want to help.

Might give it a go during the Christmas break, but fortunately being a market trader I have access to reasonably priced material - just don't fancy the pillow case idea............
Permalink Reply by Andrea Palmatier on November 23, 2011 at 8:16am Hi Pam! With the pillowcases, I think they were trying to appeal to a larger audience, the way KAS does with 8" squares instead of a whole blanket. It'd be great if you could give it a go, even if it's not from a pillowcase! :o)
Permalink Reply by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 10, 2012 at 8:49am I think they have a great idea here, just like we do and I wish them success. Pillowcases are expensive here so I would make dresses up from fabrics instead but I get the idea.
