Welcome to the February 2018 Theme
Exactly my problems too when I tried it.
My apologies to all....I feel like a really, really bad host, but I promise to make it up to you. :))
January flew by with lots of family things happening and although I have got 11 squares knitted, they have nothing on them. :((
For those I may have mentioned it to, I finally finished cleaning and painting my son's house ready for sale, yesterday.....only to have an upset stomach yesterday arvo/evening....and its not feeling the best still this morning. My dentist says I will need to be 'in the chair' for an hour this morning, so definitely no eating for me.....lol.
I hope to be back home later today (hubby has my day planned for me with a few errands for him....grrr) so hopefully will have a square or two to post.
Thank you, Chris, Anne and Sue for making it a great start, already. :))
You won't find me in a hot air balloon, Louise....unless it's sitting on the ground, going nowhere.....hahaha.
Please Bev, relax and take care of yourself. You are first, then squares. Feel better!!
Exactly, Diana. You mustn't worry about your theme. It'll be here for another 26 days or so. Look after yourself first.
Phew! Bev, I'm worn out reading what you've been getting up to. Painting a house is a lot of work, no wonder you haven't had time to finish your squares. I hope hubby will let you sit down for a while after your visit to the dentist and running errands to relax with your squares. :))
Oh, Bev, poor you -an hour in the dentist's chair is one of my worst nightmares, and when you're feeling below par, too ... Hope it's all over and you're feeling better.
Thanks Lesley...I am just a big sook when it comes to going to the dentist....must have had a bad childhood experience that I've forgotten...lol.
Take a break and feel better soon, Bev. We'll all be here whenever you can join us. xo
No apologies necessary Bev! Hope you'll take time to breathe and heal.
Hats off to you Bev, for being able to do duplicate stitching!!!!
Well, since I don't do either intarsia or duplicate stitch, I stand in awe of both of you. Susanne and Bev. Love your giraffe, Susanne.
Bev, just relax and get feeling better and we'll all wait with baited breath for you to post all 11 squares in one "Swell foop" (Just kidding...)
I can't even buy any decent appliques in my little town, but somewhere lurking in my stash there's a bag of washable felt... now if only I could get creative..
I cheated, Anne....I bought online....next time, I really must pull out a ruler and 'see' how big the measurements really are......some appliques are quite tiny....lol.
