First try with this pattern

All toys are beautiful but your elephant is the best one!

Elephants are social animals, so my friend Evan here would like to join the herd, please. And if anyone can tell me how to crochet tusks, I'll be very grateful!

Lesley, your Evan is simply adorable!  So cute, in fact, that I didn’t even notice he doesn't have tusks!!  Or perhaps it was his beautiful color that took my attention from his "tusklessness" ... hahaha

Lesley, you may want to try crochet shapes used in amigurumi. This site describes how to make cones.

Wow! Nice work and the yarn looks fuzzy soft.

Evan is a baby elephant  whose tusks haven't grown yet. He is very cute!! LOVE his colours.  :))

Aww, cute little Ellie, Sue.  :)) Amazing how two eyes and a big nose give so much character to a face.  :))

Well done!!

Another lovely elephant, Susanne!

Well done, Susanne. He is perfect front and back!

Wow ... Susanne, your first try is perfect!  What a lovely huggable elephant.  I love his tail, his eyes, his ears ... awww heck ... I love all of him ... both ends :)))) xo
