Square Circle Forum

Hi K-A-S Friends.

Many of us have enjoyed a good chuckle or interesting moment in the Share a Yarn and Furry Friends discussions, haven't we?
Being the continually evolving community that we are; as of this moment, these two discussions shall become one.
Welcome to FUNNY and FANTASTIC!
Please feel free to share a pic, a funny story or maybe a link to a video about...... anything.
We'd love to know what puts a 'smile on your dial' and a 'song in your heart'.

This boy really painted this picture.  He is 11 years old and Nigerian

Sorry.  Couldn't bring an open picture up but it is worth looking at the video clip.

What a gifted boy!

Fantastic!! An amazing boy.

Wow, fantastic pictures, so much detail in the shading. I wish I could draw half this well! I hope he achieves his dream of having an exhibit in a gallery.

What an incredible talent. His portraits are amazing.

If you need more space in your car for your road trip, there is always an alternative for taking plenty of yarn.....

Hahahaha. It was a bit like that coming home Chris....not all of it was yarn/knitting related and we only have a smallish car.

When I was a girl, I loved stationery shops and was drawn to them like a magnet and as I  grew older, that didn't change. Then I started crocheting and something did change, I think yarn shops have developed very powerful magnets that pull in knitters and crocheters!

Oops....this was meant to be under Wendy's post, but ended up here.  :))

After reading your post, it's a yes to you both, Chris.  :))

Recently I was on holiday in Switzerland, and one day while I was sitting crocheting on a bench at the top of a mountain enjoying the view, I became aware of a Japanese man infront of me, but to my right, taking a number of photographs using other peoples cameras (as I had seen in many places, the owners of the cameras posing near a sign or landmark, while their group leader took their photograph). I didn't think anything of it until I felt a hand on my shoulder, the group had been standing behind me for individual photos! They must of thought I was a local crafter! I'm not keen on having my photo taken, but thought no one I know will ever seen them......  and it gave my son a chuckle on his return!

Two days later, my son and I were sitting on a bench in the mountains enjoying more beautiful scenery, when a lady, I'm guesssing from one of the Arab States, asked through body language if she could take a photo of me crocheting. I agreed, but then realised she was videoing it! It made me rather nervous, and I found I was all fingers and thumbs....... so someone has a video clip of me crocheting very badly!

I guess Knitting and Crocheting must be a novelty in some parts of the world! I often find when I take knitting or crocheting with me when I go out a lot of people ask me what I am making and why. I don't think I would like having my picture or video taken though! I hate having pictures taken of me too!
