Hi from Harrow, UK

I came across this site while I was looking for some patterns for my knitting machine. I have loads of left over yarn which I can make up easily into simple squares. 

My friends will be invited too, the more the merrier.

Hi Sandra - Brilliant that you are joining us - and bringing friends too - thank you.  We are quite a happy crowd at KAS and if you look at the ezines - link on the front page - you will see so many photos of the children and the work that KAS does.  I have been given a simple Singer knitting machine but have yet to get it out from under the bed and have a play.

Thank you to everyone for such a wonderful welcome. I hope to be able to make something fairly soon from the patterns. 

The photos of the little children sleeping on the cold floor made me so sad. I have lived in Baghdad for many years and seen the poverty there after the Gulf War. It is a shameful thing to be happening when the west wastes so much.

Ah, it's alright. We actually had spring like temperatures and weather for a bit. It is chilly, but with a blue beautiful sky today. Thanks, though. I am keeping warm with tea and a cozy blanket on the couch.
