What a wonderful display of lovingly made squares ready to keep children warm.

Can you see a problem ?

As soon as the volunteers try to move these squares, the loose tails will tangle. The volunteers must straighten out the tails. This is time consuming and creates more work for the volunteers.   

We can help by making sure the 20 inches/50 cm tails are butterflied* to the squares before we send them.

Sew/darn in any other ends of yarn along the side of the square.

If possible, also tie the squares into bundles of 5 or 10

 

*How to ’butterfly the tail’ is as easy as 1, 2, 3 . 

Use contrasting yarn and follow the directions:
