Hi my name is June and I am very pleased to be able to join in the work KAS does. I don't profess to be a great knitter but I will do my best.

Permalink Reply by P. Jeanne Haessler on February 4, 2012 at 5:53am I am a plodder when it comes to knitting and my Mum was such a whiz at it. She could be knitting an intricate lacy stitch, watching tv, talking to me and never miss a stitch, plus keeping the cats out of her yarn. I don't know how she did it. I learnt to crochet and I'm faster but wow, I've needed the practise KAS has given me, my edges wouldn't stay straight, now they do...that's like climbing Mt. Everest for me, quite the accomplishment! What's nice here is that the Patterns are mainly REALLY simple ones, which I just love. Many people do plain garter stitch squares and they're great, the backbone of any blanket. If they want to jazz it up they do stripes or use a variegated yarn or two fingering yarns together, that sort of thing. All any of us are doing is our best little bit and it takes many pebbles to build a mountain...so from one crocheting pebble to one knitting pebble, welcome aboard! :D

Welcome to KAS.
We are so glad you joined us.
The great thing about knitting for KAS is that all our efforts are appreciated..whatever our level of skill in our chosen craft may be. It has been many years since I have tried to knit anything complicated, so this suits me fine.Just wish I had more time to knit.
If you have not done so already, please check out our photos by clicking on the 'photo' tab at the top of the page...loads of inspiration there. I hope we may see some pics of your work there too sometime.
Any queries, just ask..there is always someone with a ready answer.
Happy knitting!
I'd just like to say thanks to everyone who has made me feel very welcome - I have just finished my second square!!!
Great to have you June!
