I continue to be inundated with the little square jumpers - 44 arrived today! Most of this lot would fit a toddler but I also have loads that only fit a small doll!! It is a pattern that really appeals to people but I know it is not knitting up big enough - I get so many with ridiculously small neck holes - I don't know who they think they will fit. The smallest ones I am unpicking and knitting up again as squares but could the pattern please come off the website to stop us getting any more - and should I post the larger ones yet?

I was thinking just the same -- it's such a shame to pull apart someone's work on a vest to make squares.
If the neck opening is the problem, can just the neck be opened a bit? Maybe a small V shape, with the loose ends woven in would open the neck hole up just enough to pull over a child's head?

Permalink Reply by Karen Taylor on April 5, 2011 at 6:21am Have sent a pattern that i have for a bigger tee jumper, if you look at my photos you can see the difference in size.
I also came across the pattern for the smaller ones (must have had it for years and forgotten), it is the exact same pattern but is titled ' New born baby wrap singlet' - could be why they are coming in too small

I would be happy to have go at altering/remaking some tops if you wish - I'm not very near to you but it shouldn't cost too much inland and as you say it does seem a shame to waste the work that has already gone into them.
Hi Pam and all
I have put up a challnege for a new square vest pattern: http://square-circle-forum.ning.com/forum/topics/square-vest-pattern-challenge
We cannot afford to take this page on the website down as explained in the challenge but hopefully we will be able to replace it ASAP.
