Thanks for another wonderful Ezine Sandy. The stories were excellent and the photos were so perfect. I joined KAS after the JKK boys challenge was up and running so didn't get involved but they have been spoken about so much that I felt like I knew them anyway. The pictures of them with blankets, hats and g-os were lovely. I'm sure all those who contributed to that challenge will be delighted to see the joyful smiles on these adorable boys.

I must admit I was relieved to NOT see a picture of one of the JKK boys in my Go-Over, lol! It was quite the project, garments not being an area I am talented in. Out of the whole excellent, very encouraging ezine my favorite part is this, and I will keep it close to my heart as I crochet in July:

"Another slightly older child is an eleven year old who is suffering from leukaemia and is so weak she hardly ever leaves the shack she lives in with her mother, but they did come to the Pimville church for the distribution and apparently she truly loves her blanket and told Khaya that, whenever she feels really ill, she snuggles into it and feels the warm arms of Jesus around her, encouraging and comforting her."

Heart-to-heart, isn't that what KAS is all about?

Could just be your best e-zine ever, Sandy!!! What a joy to read about the distributions, the many groups now involved in sewing, and the huge contributions that are pouring in. The photos are excellent.

I chuckled when I read about Ronda's bare floor - even though it was short-lived!! Great to know that the unpacking and sorting is under control - and I am sure each one of us wishes we could teleport over there to lend a hand on mail days.
just finished reading, what a lot of work has gone into this issue!!!! well done to all concerned.

I know that my first package for the summer challenge has arrived, cos Erin is holding one of the squares. This is the photo in Ronda's discussion of going to OASIS distribution.

Anne, some months ago, I mentioned sending our squares by that method. Just think of the postage saved. how much more yarn could be bought?

best wishes Sandy, and co
xx
Hi,
Don't know if I've gone mad but I can't find the new square lists that Sandy mentioned in the latest enzine.
Yes - another beautiful, moving, and inspiring ezine!

And... I DID see 2 go-overs and 2 hats I made for the Jabulani Khakibos Kids! And they looks pretty nifty too!

Just hope the hold up nicely, no loose ends come undone, etc etc...

:-)
