Square Circle Forum

Okay everyone, the first mailing of the 'printable' e- calendar will go out tonight. So please get on board if you haven't already (well we have had 12 purchases so are looking forward to a few more!).

Two things, one a concern that the word e-calendar is misleading in as much as some folk might think they use it like an online calendar. No, this one is to be printed. You can print it on any printer you have, even black and white. Just punch some holes and string a bit of yarn though and bingo you have your years calendar done and dusted. Or spend a bit more and have it printed at your local quick printers and spiral bound.

Don't forget you can send this FREE to anyone in the world you wish to send it to by email as a gift from you. What better way to spread the KAS word. Sandy

Ah I see. I admit locally I would want to professionally print it off at our local print shop as my own printer isn't that brilliant quality, we never need one for photos usually. Thanks for the extra info, I now understand abit more about what one does. Emailing to friends sounds pretty cool.

Jeanne :)
Great job on the e-calendar, Sandy. I especially like the fact that you included the Challenge for each month. Anyone who likes to plan ahead will really like this idea. For example - I see that February is "Keep a Teen Warm - GO-OVER month"

Anyone who plans to be part of this challenge can start now and stockpile their GO-OVERS for the February challenge - hopefully we will see large numbers in response to this challenge as the need for this garment is so great, and by having the challenge in Feb. there is lots of time to get them made and mailed before cold weather sets in again.

I am taking my downloaded calendar to the printer today - will update you all on what Canadian cost is.

And to all the forum members I would just say - if you haven't ordered your calendar yet please do so - you will love it..... and it helps support our activity in south Africa - a Bargain at US$7.95
Thanks Ann, I thought giving a couple of months for GO-OVERS would be good timing for winter in around May. Look forward to hearing what the cost is for printing in Canada.
Hi Sandy: Can't wait to order my calendar (after the 23rd when the Soc.Sec. check arrives) - with 6 grandchildren and a trip to Chicago for Christmas with the whole family, things are a bit tight!!!

Also, am so looking forward to getting together with Jacqueline and her friends on Sunday to work on blankets - I'm thrilled that the project came together!!! I sent out two to Debbie yesterday so am looking to hear how many we have managed to collect. WHAT A BUNCH!!!
Hi Laurie, just to let you know that the next Calendar dispatch after the 17th Dec will Jan 4. In fact I was going to put a message up saying any that folk should order their calendars before Thursday 17 now to ensure they got them this year, as the KasCare team is taking a much needed break and one away from electricity too! Will send you yours Laurie in advance as a much valued KASer, but please everyone get your orders in pronto as the days are full and few now before the end of the year. Many thanks, Sandy
Hi Sandy,
Probably missing the obvious again but I have looked at everything I can think of and I can't find out how 'to get on board'. What do I do to order a calendar download?
Hi Christine, here is the link and when I receive your paypal donation I send it to you, Sandy

Thank you Sandy, I'll do that.
what happens if you don;t have a pay pal account.....can you use visa etc
Hi Sandy, I did the donation bit but I didn't see anything requesting a calendar. I assume it must be automatic so hope I'm right.
Do like this calendar every time I look at it. The challenges are listed at the top of each month....I can plan ahead ! There is lots of room to write in the squares and seeing the photos inspires me to keep crocheting.
Hi all,
Just got my calendar and it is quite beautiful. Well worth having professionally printed.

I do have a question though - in my copy International AIDS awareness day is listed as Nov. 1st when the day is observed every DECEMBER 1st.

I did a quick google to confirm and here is a link (http://www.hhs.gov/aidsawarenessdays/days/world/index.html#about)

About the Day
"World AIDS Day is observed every year on December 1st. The World Health Organization established World AIDS Day in 1988. World AIDS Day provides governments, national AIDS programs, faith organizations, community organizations, and individuals with an opportunity to raise awareness and focus attention on the global AIDS epidemic."

Other than this potential typo the calendar is perfect! I apologize if this has been brought up before - I haven't read every post in this thread.
