Mesh Pattern
Row 1 (RS): K1, *yo, k2tog; rep from * to last st, k1.
Row 2: K1, purl to last st, k1.
Row 3: K1, *skp, yo; rep from *to last st, k1.
Row 4: K1, purl to last st, k1.
Rep Rows 1-4 for Mesh Pattern.

SOLID WASHCLOTH
With B, cast on 40 sts.
Row 1 (WS): Knit.
Work in Mesh Pattern until piece measures about 12 in. (30.5 cm) from beg, end with a Row 4 of Mesh Pattern.
Next Row: Purl.
Bind off.

STRIPED WASHCLOTH
With A, cast on 40 sts.
Row 1 (WS): Knit.
Work Rows 1-4 of Mesh Pattern. Change to B, work Rows 1-4 of Mesh Pattern. Continue to work 4 rows of each color until piece measures
about 12 in. (30.5 cm) from beg, end with a Row 4 of pattern and A.

Next Row: Purl.
Bind off.
