I should add that instead of the ring, you start with a ch 2, turn and do 2 sc, ch 2, 2 single crochet in last ch. Then chain 1, turn and do second row as described. I'll print it all out here when I've got more time. I will also include photos of any I make.
Found this online this morning. Love it. I'm going to do one soon as I can. You just keep going til it's 8x8 so far as I know. This is for a dishcloth but you just leave off the ring.
