Cast on 48 st then commence pattern.

1st row - knit

2nd row - purl

3rd row - p3 * k2, p6 rep * to last 5st k2,p3

4th row - k3 * p2, k6 rep * to last 5st p2, k3

5th row - repeat 3rd row

6th row - repeat 4th row

7th row - Knit

8th row - purl

9th row - k1 *p6, k2 rep * to last st k1

10th row - p1 * k6, p2, rep * to last st p1

11th row - repeat 9th row

12th row - repeat 10th row

This is the pattern then you go back to the start and continue until work measures 8".

I see it's a multiple of 16 stitches to make these squares. You had to have very fine baby yarn or tiny needles; not sure which, but these are adorable squares you made! Thanks for sharing this pattern. I will print if off soon and try my hand at this one hopefully. What kind of yarn did you use?
