pattern for Modified Log Cabin Square?

Hi Janey

We Mods are housecleaning the forum and the Patterns tab at the top of the page will be taking on a new function and will be used for KAS exclusive patterns. As you can imagine, organizing this is a big job and will take some time.

But - don't despair - Sharman's pattern for the Log Cabin Square is still on the site! Hit the forum tab at the top of the page - this will bring up a list of all the categories on the forum and show the number of discussion groups under each one. The pattern you are looking for is under Patterns - Squares - Just click on that category and you will find it. It is a great pattern!

The number of discussion groups is growing quickly - the best way to find any information you want on the site isto use the above method - Forum tab - Category - Discussion Group.

Let me know if you have trouble finding it - so glad you might try this pattern.

Anne;

It all sounds so reasonable. But I am not having any luck whatsoever.

Perhaps I am using an old version of this website?
The Forum tab is in the middle of a toolbar which reads:
Main Invite My Page KAS KAS News Forum Patterns Members Groups Photos Chat

When I click on Forum, the drop-down menu consists of: Notes and Events - neither of which contains any text.

If I click on the word Patterns, the text under the heading displays a link for Crochet Squares Sweater.pdf. and that is all. There is a drop-down menu as well. It consists of headings for: Squares, Hats, Apparel (vests etc) and Toys - none of which have any content.

Yes, I know what you mean Janey. If you click on the Forum tab you mentioned it should open a list of Categories. If it doesn't click on Forum again - I usually have to do it twice. (Ignore any drop-down menus - they're not working at the moment.)
When you've found Categories scroll down until you find Patterns, Squares, Modified Log Cabin. Failing that there is a link to take you straight to the original pattern: http://www.purlbee.com/log-cabin-washcloths/2009/8/21/whits-knits). I found that you had to use the Search option on that page but I did get there eventually.
Hope this helps - many of us have had trouble finding things but the Moderators are simplifying things as fast as they can.

Thanks for jumping in Christine - I was just about to say the same thing. Janey - ignore the drop-down for now - just click on the word Forum. We need a sub-tab "categories" - which I will see if we can add ASAP.

Since I last posted things seem to have changed and my Forum tab no longer works. Is this a modification or just a temporary blip, Anne?

I'm having the same problem, Anne.....cannot get to the forum categories
at all.

At the moment Helen I'm going to MAIN PAGE and then scrolling down past PHOTOS, BLOG POSTS, NOTES, to FORUM. At the bottom of that section it says 'View all' and if you click there you end up in categories. Maybe it's just while alterations are being made.

so glad it's not just me !! I'm always terrified that I might have done something drastic with my computer ever since I lost a progamme which my stepson said couldn't be be done and then had to give in and and admit that I had ( after he had spent 2 hours trying to locate said programme).
