Square Circle Forum

Hi - I think you will all have read Sandy's ezine No. 11, which was just bursting with news, views and photos wasn't it? media stories and all. Anyway, I have put up 11 photos of this very special shop, Purls Palace, in Daylesford (where I live) because on 3rd June the owner Zoe and a Purls Palace Princess (the title of all of us knitting club members) Sue (Catsmum on the forum) organised a knit-a-thon to which Sandy, Kalai and Cressi came down from Melbourne for. It was a roaring success and Sandy took back 80 squares knitted by P's P P's. Since then another 45 squares plus hats have been handed to me by Zoe - such enthusiasm - it's wonderful. Love from Zanny

It's just great to hear about this wonderful store and how supportive they are. I saw the photos in the ezine of you all sitting knitting and it truly made me smile. And the square totals are super! Pat yourselves on the back Purl Princesses!
Hio Jeanne - thanks for your message which was really welcome. I will pass your messages on the the Purl's P P's, they will be delighted for such recognition. Encouragement is so much part of all the work everybody is putting in for this great cause. Zoe and Andy (P'sP) owners will also be delighted with your remarks. love Zanny
You're very welcome Zanny. That store looks like the kind of place I'd love to browse through, and sit and crochet for a spell. It just looks very welcoming and warm and cozy and so SO yarn lover friendly. It's probably better for my wallet that I don't live in the same country as Purl's Palace, lol, because the pictures really make me want to go hunt in every nook and cranny of the store. :)
I know just how you feel. I always tell Zoe and Andy that I have shares in their fantastic shop!!!! However, this is made easy for me because I put everything I choose on layby and so at the end of the day feel no financial pain - only gain!!!! They let me pay wool purchases, jewelery, many workshops etc off over as long as I wish. A big bonus. At the end of the day it really pays off because after 2 heritage blankets made out of pure wool, a couple of baby heritage blankets I have been able to make my daughter and one of my granddaughters very happy, plus family babies in South Africa. Also workshops like making glass jewelery have made it possible to create lovely pendants, rings, earrings etc etc, even fridge magnets for a really reasonable price - and they are really loved by those who receive them. I so love this creative world - it keeps a growing older person young and healthy in heart and mind. Sandy is a very talented artist and madly creative. Her work is A-M-A-Z-I-N -G. Have a great day - love Zanny
