Square Circle Forum

Have you visited our new KAS Shop yet?  If not, please drop in and check us out here

We have introduced several new items in the past few weeks and there are more to come in the near future.

The income from the KAS Shop goes a long way in enabling the team in South Africa to carry on the vital work of wrapping vulnerable children in snuggly blankets made by our members.

Some members prefer to sign up for an ongoing monthly donation through PayPal in order to fund our activities.  These monthly donations are vital!

However, others of us prefer to designate our donations for a specific purpose, or can only donate now and then so prefer to do it by making a shop purchase.

The purpose of this discussion is to get your feedback and comments.  It is sort of a “customer survey” that will help us improve the shop on an ongoing basis.

We will occasionally focus on a “product of the month” and we hope to share with you a monthly overview of what is selling and what is not.

Any good shop needs an interesting inventory that appeals to its customers, so your feedback is essential to our success. With that in mind, we hope you will chime in here and share your thoughts about what is good (and not so good) about the KAS Shop.

We also hope that you will offer suggestions for the Shop – products that you would like to see.  Remember, since this is a “Virtual Shop” all products must be downloadable.

Remember too, that we can accommodate new products that are “personal” – things you want to purchase for yourself, for your own use - like our note card series, which will soon be expanded. A previous discussion indicated there lots of possibilities in this area, so please put your thinking caps on and give us your ideas.

Cute !!! An inspired idea.

What a cute little pump. I will be using it soon.

Did you know that you can help Ronda Pay the Rent by purchasing this item from the KAS Shop?

December has generated much needed funds for Knit-a-Square.

Thanks to those who have been shopping, the Knit-a-Square bank account is richer by almost $200.  Christmas cards; Snacks - $10 and $30 options; Wrap a Child and Sponsor a child were chosen.

Thanks for the update, Linda.

Linda, I've just added a few more coins in the KAS piggy bank by shopping in the new look shop and I can report just how easy it is to use.
The certificates with photos of the children on them arrived immediately and are perfect, so lovely.......I particularly like the "sponsor a child" and "wrap a child in a blanket" items as I feel as though I'm helping a child as well as the Gogo's.

Isn't the "new look" just great?  One of the "techie shopkeepers" had rearranged things in the shop, so choosing an item is easier than ever.

Items have been sorted by categories, so now you can click on "Cards" or "Distributions" and see every item available in that category.  Awesome!

I heard a rumour that a new assortment of cards will be arriving in the shop sometime very soon, so watch this space or check into the shop to see what's new.

Anne, I noticed the new categories, what a good idea....these techie people are awesome, wish I was a little more techie minded!! LOL

Looking forward to new cards arriving in the shop, it's great to have a wide choice of items. :)))

We now have a detailed update on Shop Sales for December from Linda.

Our total income from purchase was $194.75

Five sets of Christmas cards were purchased, but since this is a seasonal item and not in the shop all the time, our actual income from other items was $170.

3 $10 Snacks ..................$30

2 $30 Snacks...................$60

5 $10 Sponsor a child........$50

6 $5 Wrap a child.............$30

These figures would indicate we had 16 shoppers, but the figure is lower than 16 since some people bought multiples of an item.

We expect to have several new additions added to the card selection within a very short time. As soon as they are loaded, I will feature them here in this discussion. We think you are going to love them!

Meanwhile, your shop purchases go a long way towards keeping things humming in South Africa. There are lots of needed items to choose from.

Have you visited the KAS Shop today?  We have several NEW ITEMS that have just been added -

Several Baby Congratulations cards for both boys and girls should you wish to gift a new arrival in your life with a donation to Knit-a-Square.  These cards feature a photo of toys made for KAS by Marian Elliott of the UK.

A new set of four notecards, blank inside, which we are calling our GROUP SERIES - just perfect for those of you who want to spread the word to friends and family about KAS.  Each card features a different group of children snuggled in their new blankets.

More coming soon....

I have just been window shopping in the KAS shop, the new card sets are lovely!!!!!

Many thanks to those who have made this happen, these thing take time,  a great deal of thought, planning and technical know how. So thank you to those who have enabled our shop to be stocked with the new goodies :))

So now I must shop....

What a fantastic set of greeting cards that can spread the word about KAS.  Many thanks to all the individuals that made these so special.

The Donate button provides 2 options:

  1. One time donation
  2. Monthly subscription               [click the box]

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!

Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:

1. Make a donation whenever you are able.

2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).

3. Shop at the KasShop!
