Square Circle Forum

Have you visited our new KAS Shop yet?  If not, please drop in and check us out here

We have introduced several new items in the past few weeks and there are more to come in the near future.

The income from the KAS Shop goes a long way in enabling the team in South Africa to carry on the vital work of wrapping vulnerable children in snuggly blankets made by our members.

Some members prefer to sign up for an ongoing monthly donation through PayPal in order to fund our activities.  These monthly donations are vital!

However, others of us prefer to designate our donations for a specific purpose, or can only donate now and then so prefer to do it by making a shop purchase.

The purpose of this discussion is to get your feedback and comments.  It is sort of a “customer survey” that will help us improve the shop on an ongoing basis.

We will occasionally focus on a “product of the month” and we hope to share with you a monthly overview of what is selling and what is not.

Any good shop needs an interesting inventory that appeals to its customers, so your feedback is essential to our success. With that in mind, we hope you will chime in here and share your thoughts about what is good (and not so good) about the KAS Shop.

We also hope that you will offer suggestions for the Shop – products that you would like to see.  Remember, since this is a “Virtual Shop” all products must be downloadable.

Remember too, that we can accommodate new products that are “personal” – things you want to purchase for yourself, for your own use - like our note card series, which will soon be expanded. A previous discussion indicated there lots of possibilities in this area, so please put your thinking caps on and give us your ideas.

Two more NEW ITEMS have just been added to the Shop!  Just wait til you see these......

We now have a set of notecards we call the PORTRAIT SERIES - each of the six cards features a different photo of one of our South African children - absolutely charming!  These cards are blank inside for your message.  What a wonderful way to spread the word about our work with vulnerable children.

Also, very exciting is our new set of six TOY SERIES notecards, blank inside, each featuring a different toy lovingly made for Knit-a-Square's children by a member of the forum. These cards will be perfect for crafters, children or anyone young at heart, whenever you want to send a birthday greeting, a thank you, a "Get Well" or just a "Hello"

A huge thank you to the toy-makers who gave us permission to use their photos of their work.

Just visited the KASshop to buy my belated Christmas present from hubby. (Have just paid the two days rent that I booked in Dec, Linda). Started to get a little carried away, but the items for $5-$10 are just too hard to resist.  :))

Now I just have to get my own paypal a/c......have been procrastinating over it still.......thank goodness for my friend, Kym, who lets me use hers.

Bev, I was like you....I kept putting off getting a PayPal account...but now I've taken the plunge its soooo easy to use and every time you shop online you don't have to keep entering your card details.

Last night I also got carried away in the KAS shop, I wanted to buy a set of the fabulous new cards but couldn't decide which set to purchase so ended up buying all three sets....they are great, I love the pics of the children and the toys are so sweet! It's impossible to pick a favourite....I can't wait to get them printed. :))))

The shop is really growing and there are so many opportunities for purchasing. The new cards are all soooooo lovely. Andrea has done a great job.....and the pics chosen are simply delightful.

Andrea and the mods have worked hard, the shop looks great.....thanks everyone. :))

Anne  - just 'bought' a day of rent are we still filling up the calender? I was wondering as my brother's birthday is at the end of  the month!

Mary, we have stopped doing the calendar.  Thank you for such a thoughtful purchase.  Pay the Rent is one of the most important and helpful items in the shop.

Did you get a downloadable certificate when you purchased the day?  I believe you should have received one by email.  If this is a birthday present for your brother, perhaps you could put the certificate in a birthday card for him?

yes that come through in seconds!

Toddled off to the print shop yesterday and had my Group, Portait and Toy Series cards printed up. Wow - they are terrific, I love them!

Purchased my new sets of cards and got my son out of trouble, he is extremely late in writing his thank you letters for Christmas, He saw these cards and asked if he could use them .The pictures are obviously very eye catching, even to a teenager.

Oh isn't that great, Sharon!! Good on him...and the pics are fab, aren't they?!

Gloria has included this in the current issue of KasSnippets

Several new notecards have just arrived in the KAS Shop! We have now added six variations on an absolutely charming BABY CONGRATULATIONS card, plus three new sets of "blank inside" notecards: a set of four cards we call the GROUP SERIES; a six-card set we call the PORTRAIT SERIES; and a delightful six-card set - the TOY SERIES - which features toys made for our KASchildren by members of the Forum.

If you are using an iPad to view these cards, please don't dismay. While they may not show in their full beauty on your screen, when printed, each card will look exactly as it does in the Shop.

The Donate button provides 2 options:

  1. One time donation
  2. Monthly subscription               [click the box]

Because of PayPal/banking fees, KAS asks that your donation be 5USD [or more].  Anything less, means your donation is eaten up with fees.  Thank you!

Our goal is to remove the monthly deficit that Ronda and her team have to deal with. You can:

1. Make a donation whenever you are able.

2. Sign up for an ongoing monthly donation (subscription).

3. Shop at the KasShop!
