Square Circle Forum

Here's where we can post examples of people spreading the word both of KAS and of the children we seek to help.  In the last three days, these blog posts have come into my inbox through Google Alerts.  It is so amazing to see how people promote KAS and raise awareness all around the world.

Please let us know if you find something online, know of a church, community of school involved in promoting KAS and either post a link or a description of what they are doing, to help inspire the wider community to do more of the same.

Best way to spread the word and warm and comfort more children is by example.  Here are the first three links.  I hope there are HUNDREDS by the end of 2012.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to mention that my blog challenge is going strong and since I started in January, I have received and am sending 324 squares, 1 scarf,  3 sweaters, 1 Kascuddle, 63 hats, 1 poncho and 6 pairs of socks! So many wonderful people have responded to the KAS call, it is just fantastic!

I have a new post today in which I make an announcement that I would like to share with you. I hesitate at the risk of sounding pretentious. I am really not a salesperson, but here it is! I am persuing a dream of owning a yarn shop. For the moment it is just online. I have decided to give all the profits from the sale of three of my yarns to KAS! I would love it if you could spread the word. Thanks so much!

It's amazing how little things can come together. I was at a friends house watching a movie with her and brought the latest square I was making for KAS. Soon she was borrowing needles and yarn and knitting away too-- and I didn't know she could knit! Once she saw the KAS website and all the pictures of the kids, she had decided to devote her summer to helping me make squares. She also thought of a mutual friend who crotchets that she is going to recruit as well.

Step-by-step Elyse, you and all KasFolk are building a network of good hearted people - hopefully, before too long KAS disease will reach epidemic proportions!

That's wonderful Eyse!

Hi all, I started this thread but I thought there would be more traffic here :)

Hi all!

I have shared Sandy's message on my blog today. For those of you with blogs, you might want to do the same. It's an easy post with an important message.

So happy to see that google picked it up, Sandy!

Hi everyone!

As many of you know, I launched a challenge for KAS on my blog in late January, with the goal to collect 500 squares by June 1st. Nine days from deadline, I have received 437 squares, plus many other items! I really am thrilled! You can read the post here:

You should read 16 days from deadline! I'm rushing to summer vacation!

We are one week away from the deadline for my blog challenge. I am happy to say that we have gone over the 500 square mark!! Shhh! I'm having a contest on my blog and you are all welcome to enter! I gave you a hint that I didn't give my readers! ;)
