Square Circle Forum

Hi everyone,
I just got this issue in my email!! I quickly scrolled through to look at all of the pictures as I usually do. Then I started reading and the story of little Tilly was just so moving. Look at the photo of her in that beautiful crochet blanket. I just wanted to say that whoever made that blanket did a fantastic job, it is SO sweet!!

It really is beautiful, you're right.
I agree. And I used the link in the ezine to go and see the latest videos then watched them all and ended up in happy tears. Those go-go's sing like angels! I'm excited to hear about what is happening in Diepsloot shack settlement in the update soon to arrive.

As for that wrapped up little angel. How anybody on earth could not want Tilly is beyond me. I understand about her mom's likely situation and my heart goes out to her. I hope little Tilly is treasured and adopted really soon. Every child we see deserves love and cuddling and help. What greater encouragement could there be for us? And this ezine highlights how the need is ongoing for vests, Go-Overs and blanket squares. I loved the video and interview with Heloise. What a wonderful woman, with a heart as big as the African veldt. I have no doubt God is sustaining her and blessing her efforts. THANK YOU Sandy for compiling this for us. It's SO heartwarming and encouraging to see all this, particularly as it's cold, wet and rainy today and I'm reminded while I sit here in my big sweater with the house heat on, that they don't have that blessing! That does it, I'm going to go crochet or knit something!
makes me want to go over and adopt Tilly myself, get her to a place where things wont be so unsure for her.
As always, Sandy's ezine was great, and moving! I love seeing the photos of the ladies sewing the squares together into blankets. Brings together the whole idea of knit-a-square...
I can't do a lot to help out, but through KAS at least I'm doing something!
Oh thank you everyone, I missed this thread and am greatly heartened by it. I was very moved by Tilly and also by Heloise. She is larger than life and with energy and commitment to boot. How wonderful to know that people like her exist all over the world. We are lucky to have found her.

I really hope Almie will keep us in touch with Tilly's progress.
How wonderful to hear the story of Heloise - she truly is a hero, although she would probably be the first to deny it. What struck me in the video was how joyful she looks. But I guess we can understand in a small way, because we are experiencing that good feeling each time we finsih a square, or a hat
