Thank you for making squares for K-A-S and the children. We have some very innovative volunteers over there, who will no doubt either extend them or find a blanket for them to fit into. Our Ronda, who 'runs the ship', ensures nothing is ever wasted and I know she has two or three ladies who 'specialise' in making different sized ones fit. :))
Here is a discussion started by a member in South Africa, who regularly visits the KAS HQ and shares her experiences with us and if you scroll through to the last couple of pages, you will see her last 'report' is of meeting a lovely volunteer called Vivienne who helps make the squares fit. Ronda has also mentioned, previously, (unfortunately I can't remember where) that they have an 'unsquare' box where they put those that aren't 8x8 and then this lady takes them all and fits them together like a jigsaw
Thank you, again, for your squares and we wish you a speedy recovery. xo
Good luck with your 8 x 8 squares.
I see in my other message to you yesterday (welcome message) that the end of it was cut off, so thought I would add it here. Not sure if it was because I had made the message too long and Ning, our provider had chopped it off, or something in my tech skills, which can be a bit haphazard....lol. So here it is....just thought you may enjoy seeing our list of monthly themes.
F.Y.I here is our 2017 themes list....these themes are just for fun and there is no pressure to join in. ANY squares you would like to make are most welcome and much appreciated. :))
Thank you for joining us....and happy knitting. :))
