Great job, Sandy!  So inspiring!!!  Thank you so much for putting that ezine together for all of us to enjoy!

I was wondering, since G4S operates in 120 countries, do you think they might be willing to set up a place in each country where KAS members from that country could send squares and G4S could forward them onto South Africa, similar to what Planet Purl did in the USA?  Without the postage obstacle, I'm sure we could keep their prison sewing program well-stocked with squares!

Thank you again for all of your hard work!

Super idea, Rachel!  You're always thinking!  ;-D
A beautiful ezine as always. All those fantastic projects. Aren't the prison blankets glorious! G4S and the armoured vehicle carrying love from around the world is a sight to behold. How wonderful that they are on board with KAS. The photo  with the little girl walking 'into the future' with Ronda was very moving. That's what Rnda does and we all do through Ronda is to take some child's hand for a moment and leave them with a blanket they can treasure for the rest of their life. Thank you again for giving us these wonderfule ezines. If ever there was a doubt about where these squares go when you post them into the wide blue yonder, the ezines banish all doubts.
A really great read! I love how many connections KAS is building up, especially in SA, to help make up blankets and get everything where it needs to be! The shop idea sounds interesting too, I'll be watching out for that!
A fabulous ezine, as always. Thank you Sandy
I think there is a misspelling somewhere. In the ezine, the second bus is called Ithanda, while on the challenge page it's called Uthando. Fantastic ezine by the way!

enjoyed reading; great photos.

everyone else has typed the platitudes I would have used

A wonderful ezine as ALWAYS Sandy! So inspiring!!!

Sandy I am hoping Rachel might be onto something brilliant here...G4S being so huge perhaps they COULD help us out with transporting squares....many more would contribute more squares if postage wasn't such a limiting factor I think.  And the E-zine is stellar.  :)

Sandy,

I've always enjoyed reading the e-zines but I must say this one seems particularly well written.  I loved your theme - connections - and feel so uplifted for having read it.

:)

Thanks Sandy.  I especially enjoyed reading about COMPASS.  Having the beautiful blankets on the brand new bunk beds must have been wonderful for the children.

Wonderful ezine!

My favorite is the beautiful economy of the prison connection.  From a single project, there's a corporation doing good in a community that it serves, prisoners learning a skill AND giving something back to the community, thus gaining an improved sense of self-worth, and most important of all, cold, needy children finding warmth and a feeling that somebody cares!
