Square Circle Forum

I remember reading somewhere on the forum that strips of knitting (equivalent to several joined squares) were okay to send and could save sewing up time... If this is the case, what dimensions should those strips be? From the website, I gather that kids blankets are 24 squares (6x4?) and teen blankets are 35 squares (is that 7x5?). Would strips 48x8" or 56x8" work then?

I thought the strips of squares was a great idea but someone added that the strips could be thought of as scarfs at customs and would then have commercial value...I would like to do it this way..could someone please let us know if this is an option? I have sent a completed sweater and there are go overs as well as completed blankets sent..I eagerly await a reply...
I can tell you that so far the strips of squares haven't been caught by customs and duty charged, mind you I believe they were included along with other items in a mixed parcel. Making sure to say "knitted items for charity only" or "knitted squares for charity only" on the package helps in this regard.
