Hi everyone, how lovely to have been featured in this online City Press piece in South Africa and to have Lindiwe featured. It is right at the bottom and the links don't actually take you to anything about Lindiwe, but none the less it is a great piece.

Ronda's quote is touching and adds a very special dimension to what you are all doing:
... the blankets are just the currency to get to the children to tell them exactly how beloved they are. We tell them they are the future, unique and special.
Dawne has written a great post about this on All for Orphans, which you can read here.
By the way, Ronda has decided Facebook is an easier more efficient means for her to keep in touch with you, so if you aren't a member of our Facebook Group, this would be a great time to join up. So much online activity - bound to grow our members on a daily basis. FABULOUS!

Just checked our facebook members and we now have 665!!! How awesome is that? In three weeks we have gained 213 "likes".
Love it!
Hi Sandy
I know I'm a bit late on this discussion but I just felt the need to comment on Dawne's article. It's so good to read all that positivity. You and the family do such a wonderful job.
I'm not on facebook although I'm fairly comfortable about writing on this site that's as far as it goes for me. Both my children have encouraged me to sign up but it's just not a step I wish to take.
Best of luck and love to you all.
Barbara
I know a lot of people really like to be on Facebook, but I also know that a lot of people do not wish to be on Facebook. So I do agree that both - Facebook and Knit-a-square - should be kept updated.
Permalink Reply by maggie rees on Sunday I am one of those people who will never go on facebook again for serious personal reasons. I feel my daughter has been harmed by facebook and I will have nothing to do with it.
Permalink Reply by P. Jeanne Haessler on Sunday maggie that is perfectly fine. I keep my Facebook account strictly managed, it's not open to the public, just friends and relatives. First things first, keep your family safe!

Permalink Reply by Sandy McDonald on February 3, 2012 at 2:04pm Gosh Anne, I just saw your comment and realised how old this thread was as Kalai says we are just a few short of 3,000 now on Facebook. Amazing. But you are right all the platforms need to be kept up to date to suit the ways in which people like to get information. Some will just not be as regular, whereas FB is if not daily at least weekly.
Permalink Reply by Pam Johnson on February 5, 2012 at 1:20am I haven't really been following Facebook but gosh what a lot is on there - a bit of a shame I think that so much is there and not on the forum as a lot of people are missing out. I know Pam A does a great job of copying things across. You can be on Facebook and not let people see anything much about you - just sign up to keep watching KAS.
Permalink Reply by P. Jeanne Haessler on May 12, 2012 at 2:30am I think we need to "cross pollinate" as in bring FaceBook stuff here as well and there is now a discussion thread just for FaceBook news so I hope everyone checks that. :)
Permalink Reply by maggie rees on Sunday Please! forgive me for saying this but we are not working for facebook we are working for kas.
