Thanks for all the advice re sending packages.

One thing occurred to me (which I ran by P. Jeanne) that where we have purchased new wool and have the ball bands would it be useful to attach/enclose a ball band with each article?

I have even considered buying woven labels to attach to my knitting.  The cost in the UK is about £5.99 for 144 labels.

Well it's just a thought

I tend to put my items in separate bags according to fibre content, normally 100% in one bag and wool/acrylic blends in another. Then clearly mark what they are on the bags.
Hi Cathy

Thanks for the reply and expert guidance.

I've just read about your trip to the orphanage in Bulguria - what an experience. I like Robert's idea about volunteering and it is certainly something I would be interested in.

Happy knitting

Hi Barbara, trip to Bulgaria was amazing...here's a photo of some of the team with the children - They really loved singing and couple of our lads were great on the guitar!

Hi Barbara!
I don't think it's necessary to include the ball bands in your packages. As Cathy says, just packaging separately and labeling is sufficient. I've read that all they really need to know is when items are 100% wool.
Ciao!

Hi Mary

I suppose because I am new to KAS and being of a cautious nature I just want to do the right thing for the sorters. However I am willing to learn and will accept any help available. I will get the hang of things eventually.

Happy knitting
