ARE YOU MAKING A NAVY SCARF??

I am doing loom knitting as the scarves work up faster for me. I can get 3 1/2 scarves out of two balls of Red Heart Super Saver in Soft Navy, so that's a cost of about $7.80. Not bad and they're lightweight so ship cheaply.

In other news I am reading a Chicken Soup For the Soul book called Touched by an Angel and is it ever good.  Here's quote from it: "God not only sends special angels into our lives, but sometimes He even sends them back again if we forget to take notes the first time!"...Eileen Freeman.   I do believe in angels, seen or unseen, sometimes in very human form, sometimes earthbound angels. :)

IMPORTANT NOTE RE: THE NAVY BLUE SCARF PROJECT

This is a really important project for KAS and will benefit the cold school children.

Here's the Link to the Blue Scarf Project discussion. You will find all the details about scarf requirements and WHY we are doing this in the introduction

http://forum.knit-a-square.com/forum/topics/special-report-the-navy...

Pam is doing a "Totaliser" in the intro, so once a month when we hear from Ronda how many scarves have arrived, Pam will update it For every 10 scarves she will use a scarf symbol. Every time we reach 50, she will post a school bus.

The current number of scarves to arrive is 44 - we are close to getting our first bus!

The benefit KAS receives in having their mail picked up and delivered to the offices by the pharmaceutical company and in addition the monetary help in rent money are both real advantages for KAS. In return, we need to get on board and support KAS by making and donating the navy scarves

Please post photos of your scarves in the discussion and in Photos - we have an album started

Love and Greetings to all at KAS!  I just found this wonderful quote:

“Retracing More’s life taught me a valuable lesson:

that no act done in faith will ever truly perish.”

Written by:  Karen Swallow Prior, regarding Hannah More (1745 to 1833) who worked for the poor, to help others and to abolish slavery.  I saw it in the article at:

Thank you for the inspiring messages Jeanne.  Prayers are with you for good health.  Blessings everyone.  Love to all at KAS.  Let's make this a wonderful month for the children - just one extra little bit for them.

Welcome Francine.  Our little church groups sometimes is quite active and other times rather slow.  It's filled with like-minded gals though, and I;'m sure you'll find us all quite friendly and loving.  I'm from Nashville, TN.   I attend OASIS Church and also am a BSF group leader.  (Bible Study Fellowship)

I have shifted to circular loom knitting for awhile as it works up fast and I am using thicker yarn, bulky mostly.  It is great for doing up vests.  I have done two and a half so far.  My doc has ordered a bunch of xrays, determined to figure out my wonky knees and left shoulder and arm so we shall see.  I may end up glowing in the dark at this rate.  Regardless, there is a lot of beauty in this world and I consider you ladies to be part of that.  I am thankful for what I can do and adjusting to what I cannot.  Keep smiling.  I hope each of you feels Gods care and concern for you over this coming month.
