Hi Aprile, not dumb at all....there are no dumb questions.  :))

Sharon Fennell. Christine Chiplen and many others whom I cannot think of, off the top of my head, have made beautiful blankets in one piece.....the size of 40" x 56".   Have fun.  :))

This might be a dumb question... instead of doing squares (I do plain janes) is it possible to crochet the entire blanket in one piece?

Oh you are (as always) so helpful, dear Bev! I had no idea about girth... I will check out that link. Thanks heaps :)

I have always posted mine by economy seamail.......and I ask for the 30+ working days to get there. When I go to the Australia Post website, the only thing I see to be concerned about is the 140cm girth limit. I never noticed it until recently....but I am pretty unobservant...lol. If your squares packed into a parcel under that girth limit, I would do 1 parcel. I used to send 2 smaller parcels, 'til I realised that was costing me $20-$30+ more. My parcels are usually about 70cm long and I just make sure they are under the 140cm around...my post office can be pretty picky.

Bev, we are becoming more and more savvy by the minute :)

A postage question: I have just over 300 squares: I've been saving up for postage.... do you happen to know if it would be cheaper to sea freight them from Sydney as a single (huge) parcel, or smaller ones?

Aha, didn't know that either, as I have my paypal attached to a bank account not debit/credit card.....just need to make sure I keep enough in the account....lol.

The other thing with PayPal is: if you are using a debit card, rather than a credit card, the arrangement can be suspended/cancelled (and you don't even know it, unless you login to PayPal) if there are not enough funds in your account for the regular payment to go through....

Yes good idea about checking with PayPal regularly, to make sure the payments are going through.
