I just thought I'd point out for New Members, or those who don't know, you can make donations to KAS or buy an item through CafePress to help support the ongoing work.
Also a point of interest, from now until November the Australian Government will match any donation given to the East Africa Food Crisis Appeal through 'Save the Children' until early November I think.
I'm not campaigning for people to donate, I just thought I'd mention it since we're an Australian group (and the government is actually doing something useful).
This is great news! =)
I also wanted to ask a question - I know KAS is for knitting squares, as cold is a priority along with food, but are there any more long-term health/education schemes we can get involved in?
On that note VICS immunizes a child for every one of their packages. Just some chest/nasal rub for thought. ;)
