Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on December 16, 2012 at 5:26pm I admit Pooh has been on my mind on and off, I love the philosophy and gentleness behind all the Pooh tales. I was busy visiting family in that North American heat wave, attending a wedding...and now we're up to our eyeballs in thick wet snow. It's quite something; It reminds me of that lovely animated tale Disney tale where there's snow and Pooh and Piglet follow their own tracks...and isn't that the one where Tigger climbs a tree and can't get down so they tip the book so he can just step off onto the next page? I think the whole Pooh cast of characters are perfect representatives of the cuddly toys the children so love and our members so lovingly supply. :)
Comment by Christine Johnson on December 16, 2012 at 1:42pm Welcome to the group Gillian. As you can see there hasn't been much activity here recently.
Is that where Squillion comes from? I should know that but I'm afraid I didn't.
Blimey where does time go, Pooh will be off to sleep soon and not a lot of talking has gone on this year, we must all be too busy knitting !

I shall start things off with this...sigh. Our winter was very mild, didn't even put snow tires on until halfway through December. However our summer has been very humid and hot in Canada so I have been sweating a lot and staying out of the sun when necessary. It slowed down my crocheting but I'm working on 3 squares now. Back in the winter I worked on a Cuddle which I am going to line with flannelette as it seems too "gappy" for me. Squares seem like a breeze by comparison to that thing. My hat is off to everyone doing the bigger items, it takes a lot of patience and perseverance but if, like Pooh you feel the love for the children, I imagine it doesn't feel onerous at all. :) Oh I had a Pooh moment the past 3 packages, sending off socks, undies and vests and a few stuffed toys as well.
Pooh must be coming out of hibernation by now, all his followeres should do the same and get this group talking again. What have you all been up to over the winter?
