You beat me to it Christine! I kept losing connectivity on the lap top so have just moved upstairs to log on to the other PC to finish this off! I hope you think this is ok to carry over last years list as zeros, I thought it might act as a prompt/reminder of what we sent last year. Also hope it is ok to for me to have started off the new tally, I have dded a discussion before so decided to have a go.
Permalink Reply by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 6, 2012 at 11:22am Kathy I'm sure this is fine. Just anyone who posts their January Jewel Squares total in that thread, remember to add them here as well. :)
I looked at this long list of add-ins and thought "Wow, and all we started with was 8 inch squares."
I sent off 80squares on 30th.December. Jean Hunt
Permalink Reply by Elaine Anne Browne on January 7, 2012 at 7:19am I just wondered if there was somewhere I could take my knitted squares as I find so expensive to send off.

Permalink Reply by Pam Johnson on January 7, 2012 at 11:33pm Sadly not now the Jigsaw offer has ended Elaine. We all struggle with postage costs. Sending them surface mail and less than 2kg is the cheapest way from the UK - perhaps a few at a time is the answer. Meanwhile we try to fundraise and hope to find another sponsor. Are you part of any church group or WI that may help?
I will add Jeans squares to 2011 tally along with items posted by Kathy C (my neighbour) in Dec.
Off to the Post Office now, 2 vests, 2 hats and 8 toys

Permalink Reply by Christine Johnson on January 8, 2012 at 1:27am Elaine, there was a network of shops accepting squares until 31st December. As far as we know this has now ended but apparently the Chester branch have said that they are still accepting squares (squares only.)
It could be worth ringing Jigsaw Clothing, 21-23 Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham Tel:0115 941 4437 OR
failing that Jigsaw Clothing, 17-19 Bridge Street, Chester Tel: 01244 351 528
to see if anyone is still accepting them.
