Well I thought I might as well get this started for the year 2011. I'm sure with all the new US members we will beat the last 2 year's totals.

Permalink Reply by Donna Radu on January 26, 2011 at 12:32pm I blush to admit that, after knitting for KAS since I guess August of 2010, I finally mailed my first KAS package TONIGHT! I feel such exhilaration! WHOOPEEEEE! This package contained 58 squares and 7 hats. I'm new to knitting and crocheting so I thought I'd make them all out of 100% wool yarn.
Had to use my own box, and sent everything via Priority Mail International, which the very kind clerk who helped me said was the cheapest option. It cost $56.10 to send 6 pounds, 14.4 ounces, but, on the upside, a.) it's supposed to arrive in six to ten days and b.) I ACTUALLY MAILED SOMETHING TO KAS!
I'm so excited, and feel also a renewed ambition to churn out those squares, since they're no longer a (dubiously effective) decoration keeping the entire family from sitting on the sofa and love seat in our TV room, but rather blanket segments that will actually keep children WARM!

I would re-list but I'm in a time crunch.
