As far as getting what we've envisioned sewed together as we envisioned it, Kathy and I lay the squares out and then tie it together with little string ties. It's a lot easier to find one's own squares when they are tied into a blanket and all 35 belong to your group. When we finish, I take a picture to post, but I don't have to send one along because the blanket is basically one piece.. it just needs the actual sewing..

"Thinking of you Texas!!  We hope all our Kasisters, families and friends are well, in particular, Helen Flagg who lives near the coast. Huracan Harvey has done lots of damage already on its path. Amy is OK for now, she said.  Blessings. "

Yes, I send a photo with all the squares laid out and marked as to each panel. However, however they do it, as long as they get to the needy children.

Laurie, we have had the same situation at our church.  As far as I can tell, they do try to put the squares together that go together.  Do you lay them out and take a photo and include it with the squares?  Doing that is very helpful for them when they receive the squares so they know what to do.

Finally found a picture of my crayon squares in the blanket room 2017photos! Fun. I usually can't find any of mine. I'd like to know when I send a picture of my suggestion on how to put my squares together, if the ladies go with my suggestion. I have been sending packs of 35 squares that go together. The picture is #74. Thanks Christine!

I am "hearing" you, ladies, that the postal costs have escalated in the U.S. so much that sending squares on a consistent basis is now difficult.  However, several of you have indicated you would like to contribute to KAS when you can but do not have a Paypal account.  I am most willing to be the conduit to pass along your KAS contributions whenever you feel you can contribute.  Please keep my address below handy and when you feel you can contribute to KAS send me a check with a note about what it is for and I will deposit it and send the amount to Ronda with your name.  Please include an email address in your note because Ronda tries to email a thank you to each contributor.  For those who are contributing now for this current fundraiser, please do include an email address.  I should have mentioned that in my earlier information.  Many thanks.

Thanks so much, Mary Anne, for your donation.  Ronda has determined that she needs at least $2600 per month (which includes rent of $1300) to run KAS.  The donations have just not been coming in.  I think we are all going to have to put our shoulders to the wheel and back her up on a more consistent basis in the future.  I know we can do it now that we know what is needed.

Postal costs for incoming parcels has risen alarmingly since mid-April
because of a new rule that ALL overseas parcels attract the customary
handling fee and that has been increased to R51.50 PER PARCEL[$3.74USD].
