Cardigan & hat

Finished cardigan and a hat. I do believe the hat may be too big for the 8 year old that gets the cardigan.

Wow, what beautiful work. I find making a hat just a little tight for me works well for a child. There are measurements for various ages' hat sizes here on KAS. Just beautiful work, wow.

That is a really neat cardigan! Personally I find it quite a challenge to pick-up-and-knit all those stitches for a cardigan neckband. Great work!

What a smart set! I always worry, too, about what size to make the hat to fit a jumper or a slipover. But at least we know that they will always fit a body and a head - even if they aren't on the same child!
