Chunky beanie & fluffy pom-pom - August 2017 -

Thanks Christine Johnson for this pattern. Only wish I could borrow Wendy's Fred for the picture. I used an upside down cereal bowl under the hat.

A very cheery hat, Diana - the fluffy pom-pom is an added bonus!

Thanks Wendy for time to look to find this info.  I will keep using your and picture of Fred in a beanie as well as Christine's J one as a reference. Thanks.

LOL Diana, I do think Fred would have some cousins living in the U.S. I just tried a search myself and although I didn't specifically see any in the U.S, I found some in China that are low cost and include shipping to other countrie. If you try a search yourself you will probably be able to refine it by location (i.e. U.S only) if you want to 'hire a local' so to speak. :)

This is too funny, Wendy. I kept looking the picture of Fred in your beanie -purple and pink- to guide me while making my beanie that I thought, "Umm, Fred could model mine too to see if it fits - 22 cm circumference -"

Has Fred an American cousin? or is he an ex-pat?

Thanks, Joan. Always so kind with your comments on my work. An honor coming from you.

Lovely Diana, I really like the colours in this beanie. Fred says he wished he could model for you too, at least as this hat is 'boy' colours (LOL). Perhaps you could purchase one of Fred's cousins? (I bought Fred on eBay).
