Comment by Christine Johnson on January 25, 2012 at 6:23am Thanks for the link Mary - I wil have another go at fpc soon. Have to master the basic stitch pattern first - I have to admit that I've never even managed a square in this pattern yet but I keep trying. It's made such a lovely warm sweater.
Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 25, 2012 at 5:25am Ah okay. Got it! Thanks. :D
Comment by Mary Kristel Lokken on January 25, 2012 at 5:22am It's like the chain stitch square pattern: 1 sc, 1 ch, alternating, just that it has 6 sides instead of 4.
;-)
Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 25, 2012 at 5:14am Ahhh I thought you did, you sneaky wascal. What stitch pattern if I may be so bold to ask as it looks very windproof and warm. Is it single crochet?
Comment by Mary Kristel Lokken on January 25, 2012 at 5:09am Jeanne, I used a different stitch pattern to make the hexagons, to make it warmer. In theory, you can use any hexagon pattern you want.
Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 25, 2012 at 4:09am The Creative Jewish Mom has a page showing the hexagon sweater done in one color in chunky, here, with several creative suggestions for yarn use; http://www.creativejewishmom.com/2011/01/a-simple-sweet-crocheted-b...
Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on January 25, 2012 at 4:04am I have to admit the link-ed sweater photo looks nothing like yours. Explain?
