First twelve squares for a girly blanket. The lilac stripes are a little washed out (thanks camera). I used a 200gm ball of a twisted and variegated yarn in the alternating stripes. The colours in that are greens, light & dark purple, a dark pink, white, pale pink.....let's just say heaps of colours....lol....and as the colourways kept changing in that yarn, I was able to create lots of different squares without trying. :))
It just doesn't show up very well in this pic.

Oh, I really love these.  The variegated adds such a unique touch.

Oh yes it does - what an effect!! Little bit like an optical illusion.
