Fantasy February Fun Fantasy Fern on diagonal square.
THANK YOU to the person who revealed that no matter which ply I use, if I increase and knit until the two sides each measure 200mm I can then decrease and I will have a square.
I thought diagonal squares were a distant dream but no I have done it.

Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on February 10, 2012 at 7:10am Way to go Maudie and the little decoration is charming. I can imagine a child tracing that whorl with it's finger again and again. Way to go!

Comment by Maureen (Maudie) Anne Bryan on February 6, 2012 at 2:09pm have just finished the blue one. All I did was increase one stitch at the beginning of each row then when the two sides meansured 200mm I just cast off one stitch at the beginning of each row. Happy ME!!
Yes, diagonals are SO easy, and you can use any yarn without worrying about gauge! Love your fantasy embroidery!
