Inspired by this morning's discovery of Arlene's boat, I jumped on the bus and headed to town and bought some felt. I have cut out a little boat. I don't know if November will be nautical but just in case.....

Comment by P. Jeanne Haessler on February 10, 2012 at 6:56am I think felt is an inexpensive but bright and colorful way to add charm to any square. Well done!
I love the boat and the fish Maudie. Great idea.
Comment by Arlene Guerin on February 7, 2012 at 11:25am Hi Maudie, love the little boat. Inspiration's catching I think. Now you've got me thinking about fish designs! Maybe February's fish month?! and "all things nautical".
Comment by Maureen (Maudie) Anne Bryan on February 7, 2012 at 8:25am I stitched is just in from the edge but I think with the next felt motif I will try blanket stick.
Comment by Bev Jeffery on February 7, 2012 at 2:26am Love it, Maudie. A little boat sailing in a sea of blue.
Comment by Christine Johnson on February 7, 2012 at 1:52am Great square, Maudie! Well done for making the diagonal and decorating it. You have just reminded me how much I enjoyed myself some time ago, adding bits of felt to squares that I had been given. I'll have to have another go.
